Job Classification: Laborer/ Yard Help
- Experience prioritizing task and can handle large volume of work.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, and be exposed to loud noises.
- Must be able to see, speak, smell, reach, touch, feel, hear, walk on uneven ground, and crouch.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Clean driving record
- Union membership will be required upon hiring.
- Clean work area, construction crew trucks, tools and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 1 years of experience in construction type jobs.
- Daily travel of up to 2 hours may be required.
- Mechanical ability is a plus
Experience with Traffic Control Flagging and Traffic control Plan reading is a plus.
Compensation between $10 – $18/hour. Wage will be based on level of experience.

Responsibilities:
- Schedule and oversee multiple projects
- Schedule and compile crews
- Adhere to budget and time guidelines
- Client correspondence and communications
- Participation in pre-bid meetings
- Participation in hand-off meetings, as well as wrap-up meetings.
- Participation in weekly update meetings
- Read and interpret plans and drawings
- Prepare and submit detailed daily reports
- Directing complex setups
Requirements:
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with Construction Traffic Control
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of plan specifications required for building a job
- Experience overseeing multiple projects and crews
- Experience in identifying and preparation of change orders
- Experience with job specific tools and Traffic Control Equipment
- Knowledge of material quantities for various types of setups.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to sit, stand, hear, see, smell, feel, reach, crouch, walk, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Required to visit job sites, which may have loud noises, airborne particles, and be exposed to outside weather conditions.

RTL INC – Flaggers
Now hiring certified flaggers. Flagging positions available are Monday through Friday shifts with some occasional night and weekend work. Entry level flaggers welcome! Come in today – you could be working tomorrow!

We are looking for people who have a valid flagging certification. Certifications can be obtained through private classes for a nominal fee (check out www.atssa.com/TrainingCertification ). Individuals with their own gear are preferred, but we can loan out gear until employees have worked long enough to purchase gear. You must provide your own work boots. Must have reliable transportation and phone.
Must have a contact phone (jobs are dispatched via phone). All jobs are set up the night before or in the morning. All employees must be flexible with receiving phones calls in the evening or the mornings. We have many jobs every day that we struggle to fill due to shortages of available flaggers.
We want to work with people that have a great attitude, want to work, and work well with others! Must be able to stand long hours with the SAFETY of everyone on the site as first priority.
Responsibilities:
- Lift signs, stands and cones in and out of a vehicle.
- Set up the Traffic Control Devices on job sites.
- Hold flag paddle, direct vehicular traffic through construction area turning the sign and using hand signals.
- Control public traffic on/near roadway.
- Takes instructions from Lead Technician concerning traffic diversion.
- Sets up traffic zones including jobsite signs, cones, etc. according to regulations or plans, and breaks down at the end of the job.
- Directs traffic by using the sign paddle appropriately.
- Collects materials when jobs have been completed and maintains accurate inventory of signs and equipment.
- Performs general labor duties as needed.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations and practices preventive safety measures.
Requirements:
Requires extensive standing, repetitive movement, and using hands to handle tools and control equipment or machinery.
- Requires effective communications skills via telephone, text message, and face-to-face.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a fast paced environment.
- Motivated and self-directed.
- Ability to quickly learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Must be insurable by the Company’s vehicle insurance.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 100lbs.
